We are seeking an experienced eCommerce expert with a proven background in leading large multilingual and multicurrency global ecommerce transformation projects, using data and insights to drive significant change in online sales and CX satisfaction. With strengths in analytics, product ownership and strong problem-solving skills, this expert will lead Travelopia’s Yacht Division for The Moorings and Sunsail’s ecommerce website transformation project and ensure that return on investment from eCommerce is maximised for each brand in all source markets to meet agreed targets.
What you will be doing
Delivering the online transformation plan, incorporating all aspects of the eCommerce mix by working alongside marketing, web engineering, IT, internal and external agencies
In collaboration with the Head of Digital Marketing, you will be contributing to digital transformation roadmaps, building business cases, gathering high-level business requirements, minimising roadblocks and impediments, communicating and negotiating project deadlines
Orchestrating all aspects of the ecommerce transformation plan. Combining existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology, and product ownership to deliver a superior brand and booking experience for all customers
Identifying, prioritising, and articulating highest impact initiatives
Managing the overall user experience, including site navigation, checkout funnel, and overall ecommerce CX
Being a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of the ecommerce strategy, working cross-functionally with teams to ensure successful delivery of the ecommerce transformation project
Providing thought leadership, innovation, and process optimisation initiatives such as providing input on ecommerce platforms/software and other industry best practices
Creating and maintaining a leading website experience for both desktop and mobile devices
Employing a customer-centric approach, ensuring clarity, simplicity and effectiveness of communication in line with brand personality and objectives throughout the ecommerce experience
Maintaining, developing and managing appropriate measurement systems to ensure all ecommerce activities across the division meet the strategic plan objectives
Ensuring all appropriate activity is tracked accurately, reported clearly across the business and that data is utilised effectively to maximise return on investment
What we are looking for
Proven experience leading high value, global ecommerce transformation projects
Previous success in developing, executing, and maintaining sophisticated digital commerce brand strategies by leveraging ecommerce platforms, successful delivery of business value, near and mid-term growth for a brand
A seasoned professional in the digital retailing market, business-to-business (B2B), and business-to-consumer (B2C) experience a plus
Extensive knowledge of ecommerce technologies and tactics, especially in commerce experience management, digital asset management (DAM), as well as familiarity with CRM Systems, Web Platforms (Drupal, Shopify), GA, GTM, AB Tasty etc.
Strategic planning, project management and implementation experience
A self-described data expert, able to interpret customer centric data and draw conclusions to implement new ecommerce strategies
Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills
Proven success driving channel conversion strategy and plans
Ideally an ecommerce or business-related degree
Able to demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills including working with team members in remote locations
Experience in the travel industry – beneficial, but not essential
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work on own initiative
